Join us over lunch to learn about the benefits of having an advocacy (different than lobbying) plan for your nonprofit organization. We all know it’s important to develop and cultivate relationships with local and state legislators regarding our work. However, did you know there are funding opportunities at the state and national levels that your organization might be missing if you are not in the game? In addition, there are many advantages to those who are active in these networks. This introductory session will outline the basics of advocacy and offer a preview to a future series on how to develop a plan that is right for your organization.
